Booking agency framework

Clear terms before anyone says yes.

CQ Music Co.’s role

CQ Music Co. may introduce performers and clients, negotiate an agreed engagement, administer the booking and arrange payment. A website enquiry or performer application is not a booking, employment offer or representation agreement.

Performer onboarding

Before CQ Music Co. represents or publicly promotes an act, the authorised performer representative must approve the public profile, receive and acknowledge the official Queensland performer information statement, and sign a written representation agreement stating authority, scope, duration, fee, payment process, privacy permission and termination rights.

Agency fees

The standard workflow will not record a performer agency fee above 10% of the performer’s gross fee. Where the statutory limit for covered live work reduces to 5% after five weeks, the lower limit applies. A different management arrangement is not offered through this standard website workflow.

Booking confirmation

A job is confirmed only when the performer and client have accepted a written booking document covering the date, times, venue, performance scope, breaks, production, access, travel, accommodation, total price, tax treatment, deposits, cancellation, weather and force-majeure terms. Availability checks and verbal discussions do not create a booking.

Payments and records

Until CQ Music Co.’s connected-performer payment structure is separately approved, performer payouts are handled manually and are never initiated from a public form. Any performer funds received by CQ Music Co. are logged with the receipt date, performer amount, agency fee and customer total; the operational target is payment to the performer within seven days and a statement within ten days.

Tax, super and status

Each engagement is assessed using the actual working arrangement. An ABN or contractor label does not by itself decide employment, withholding or superannuation obligations. CQ Music Co. may request invoices and business details and may pause a booking for accounting or legal review.

Minors, safety and insurance

Applications involving anyone under 18 are held for guardian and child-employment review. The client and performer remain responsible for lawful venue access, workplace safety, production safety and any agreed insurance requirements.

Privacy, complaints and ending authority

Performer information is used only for the agreed booking and representation purposes. Public media requires authority. Either party may end non-exclusive representation under the written agreement, subject to existing confirmed bookings and legal record-keeping duties. Questions or complaints can be sent to sales@coremusiccq.com.au.

Important: These public terms describe the controlled workflow; they are not the performer’s signed representation agreement or the client’s event contract. Individual documents are completed and accepted before representation or booking.
